Learning disabilities and learning difficulties.

What is disability? What is difficulty?  Disability is something that incapacitates and difficulty refers to an obstacle. A disability is a longlife condition that starts on childhood and that affect the way a person learn and will make difficult for this person to understand new information. A difficulty or disorder is a problem that affects children brain's ability to receive, analyse and store information.
Children with learning disabilities can show problems with reading, math, writing, language and find motor skills. As teachers, we can learn more about and if once we find a kid with one of these problems we will be able to help him learn and understand the new in a way that it will be easy for him. Children with learning disorders can have the attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD) or autism. Children with ADD or ADHD can show these symptoms: forget things frequently, change from one activity to another or get distractd easily, problems to follow instructions, dream day etc. To help these kids teachers can come up with a personalize plan of intervencion, sit him close to the teacher, to have visual contact, give the orders in a direct and precise way, etc.
As teachers, we can try these ideas or look for more in order to help them get the same level of other children but in their own pace.
